I was fortunate enough to be invited to tag along on a homevisit with Carmelita, the CSC social worker, one afternoon during my visit. I don't know how she knew where she was going. I felt like I was in the scene of Labyrinth where Jennifer Connelly is walking endlessly through narrow walkways unsure how long it will take to reach her destination [if she reaches it at all]. It was just so off the map.. and yet there were young children making their way through the same maze-like walkways, coming home from school. (Many thanks to you, Carmelita, for all your effort and determination and for allowing me to see Cebu in all its beautiful light)
